How Do I Stop An Email From Uploading In Microsoft Outlook 11 For A Mac

What type of account(s)? (POP, IMAP, Exchange)

How big is your Identity? Do a Get Info on the Main Identity folder.

If you open Outlook's Progress window (under Window in the Menu bar select Progress) what do you meet uploading or downloading?

It's an IMAP account using Gmail.

I'1000 pretty dark-green on computers and presume the size of my identity is the size of my pst data file for email. I take 75K emails which is pretty stupid large I understand. I have been deleting a lot sinceI I switched from PC to Mac ready.

When I monitor the outlook progress window it appears to be uploading and downloading frequently it seems to refresh all 75,000 emails a lot simply that would be downloading on bandwidth. When I look at my daily usage study from my ISP the upload exceeds the download which has never been the case before  the iMac and Outlook for mac 2011.

Any aid is appreciated.

I am having the aforementioned issue with my piece of work macbook pro. Mountain Lion up to date, outlook 2011. evrything up to date..

In my role environment, cable or wi fi, the problem does non exist. Information technology only does this when i connect my macbook pro to a unlike network. ie a Telstra 4G wi fi dongle(this is how i constitute this upshot to begin with), or my habitation ADSL wifi does the same.  As shortly as Outlook connects, information technology goes into freakout mode like it is trying to download and upload all known information to human.. there are 2 other mac users in my office, all configured the same(well we remember) but only my machine has this issue..Our mail service servers accept quite modest size limits (x meg or something) so i dont think it is that.

I installed picayune snitch to find out what app was responsible and its defiantly outlook, nothing trying to ship etc etc outlook looks idle, its simply the petty snitch meters and log that show outlook is maxing out the available bandwidth.. put 36 gig on the 4G dongle in about 9 hours! Telstra kindly waived the $500 charge for going over the limit..on the condition if it happens over again we pay.. how nice of them. I imagine Telstra and other Isp's are huge supporters of this problem..  HELP Delight....  ANYONE>>>
